Skipton Magistrates Court
Single ply membrane – both flat and pitched
Under1 Consultants were appointed by DTZ Cushman Wakefield to design a new roofing system for Skipton Magistrates Court. DTZ were initially thinking that the whole roof had to be removed and replaced but thanks to the findings and recommendations of Under1 a more cost effective solution was recommended.
As specialists in non destructive testing, a thermographic survey revealed that some areas of the existing roof were still functioning correctly and so the entire roof did not need replacing.
Under1 Consultants carried out all the works for DTZ Cushman Wakefield, managing the process on site with the highest levels of workmanship and ongoing operations and, crucially, ensuring noisy work was carried out outside of court session times.
Under1 suggested the existing zinc pitched roof panels could be replaced with a new PIR Insulation combined with a single ply membrane which looks like zinc. This was not only more cost effective for the client but involved considerably less disruption.
